Foreign Minister meets Singaporean counterpart

New York, Sept. 24 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, met today, at the headquarters of the Singapore Mission to the United Nations, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Mr. Vivian Balakrishnan, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The Foreign Minister praised the advanced level of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Singapore in all fields, pointing to the remarkable development witnessed in recent years, expressing the Kingdom of Bahrain's keenness to continue efforts to advance bilateral cooperation between both countries to broader horizons. The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Singapore praised the course of the existing relations between the Kingdom and Singapore and the development they have at all levels, expressing his country's keenness to strengthen these relations to serve the interests of both countries and peoples. A number of political topics and issues of common interest were also discussed. The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, His Excellency Ambassador Jamal Faris Al Rowaiei, and the Acting Head of the Organisations Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Ambassador Shaikha Aisha bint Ahmed Al Khalifa.
