Foreign Minister meets U.S. National Security Advisor

Washington, July (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, here today met the U.S. National Security Advisor, John Bolton, within the framework of the Minister’s official visit to the United States of America. The Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the distinguished Bahraini-US relations mirror the keenness of the two countries to prioritize these relations and embody their relentless endeavors to bolster joint cooperation at all levels. He also noted the continued efforts of the United States to establish peace and stability in the region and the world, stressing that the Kingdom of Bahrain will remain supportive of these efforts. John Bolton praised the deep-rooted friendly Bahraini-US relations and mutual keenness on activating bilateral cooperation frameworks at all levels. He also expressed appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain for hosting the Peace to Prosperity workshop, which is a crucial step that reflects the Kingdom’s role in establishing stability and security. He stressed that the United States will continue its efforts to confront the Iranian threats in the region and its policy of intervening in the internal affairs of the region’s country, as well as supporting terrorist groups and militias and spreading chaos and violence. He added that confronting the Iranian threat is a crucial step and a key goal to sustain peace and stability in the region, calling for the concerted efforts of the international community to achieve it.
