Foreign Minister meets US National Security chief

Washington, Mar.22 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa met today in Washington the National Security Advisor to the American President, Herbert McMaster in the framework of his official visit to the United States of America. The meeting reviewed the historical ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, its advanced course, diversity, and progress in all fields. It exchanged views on the most important developments on the regional and international arenas and issues of mutual interest. The Minister expressed Bahrain’s appreciation for its strategic alliance with the United States of America and its keenness to expand cooperation to promote common interests and contribute to achieving the aspirations of security and stability in the two countries. The Minister hailed the efforts of the United States of America to establish stability throughout the world and its constant efforts to find ways to resolve the crises facing the international community, in particular terrorism in all its forms. McMaster affirmed United States’ keenness to continue and develop close cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain and continue to consolidate bilateral relations and efforts to establish security and peace in the region. Mr. McMaster praised Bahrain’s efforts to promote stability in the region and the fight against terrorism, affirming its support for these efforts and wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity. .
