Foreign Minister participates in OIC meeting

Abu Dhabi, Mar. 1 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, participated in the 46th session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) Council of Foreign Minister (CFM) which took place today in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, under the theme “50 years of Islamic Cooperation: Road Map for Prosperity and Development.” The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for hosting this session, thus reflecting their tremendous efforts in serving Islamic issues and enhancing and promoting the role of OIC in establishing peace and security, supporting development and prosperity, as well as addressing various challenges facing the Islamic nation. The 46th session of the OIC’S Council of Foreign Minister, which coincides with the celebration of the OIC’s 50th anniversary, addresses a number of political, social and economic issues, including ways to strengthen peace and security, countering extremism and terrorism, developing economic coordination and joint cooperation among the Member States.
