Foreign Minister receives call from Saudi counterpart

Manama, July 30 (BNA): Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, received a phone call from his Saudi counterpart His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah. They discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields to serve the common interests of the two countries and people. They reviewed current regional issues and urged a ceasfied in Libya to end the ongoing conflict and reach a political solution that preserves the country’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity and fulfills the aspirations of its people for security, peace and development. Dr. Alzayani praised Saudi’s continuous efforts to deal with the challenges that threaten Arab national security and interests. He lauded the continued efforts undertaken by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan to coordinate on the Arab, regional and international levels to stop the interference of other regional powers in the internal affairs of Arab countries, confront the threat of extremist terrorist organizations and the forces supporting them, and maintain the security and stability in the region.
