Foreign Minister receives EU parliamentary delegation

Manama, Nov. 1 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, received today a delegation from the European Parliament currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Welcoming the European Parliament delegation, he expressed his appreciation and pride of the distinguished historical ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European countries that are in continued growth and progress at all levels. The Minister hailed such visits as they play a constructive role in strengthening and expanding the relations between the two sides, as well as they enhance the common interest and promote the coordination frameworks on all regional and international issues. he European Parliament delegation, on their part, expressed their pleasure in meeting the Foreign Minister and their keenness on recurring visits to the Kingdom of Bahrain in order to explore further new horizons of joint cooperation for the benefit of both parties and lauded Bahrain’s contribution in consolidating regional peace and security, and its development and progress efforts, wishing it further progress and prosperity.
