Foreign Minister receives former Arab League secretary-general

Manama, Nov. 18 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received today, former Secretary General of the Arab League, Dr. Nabil El-Araby, who is currently visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the joint conference between the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR-AAA) and the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC). The conference aims to cover recent developments in arbitration of investment disputes. The minister welcomed Dr. Nabil El-Araby, and affirmed the deep brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt, praising the great endeavors and efforts he exerted during his tenure in several positions, the latest being the Secretary General of the Arab League and his role in developing the League and promoting joint action at various levels, facing the challenges of the Arab region and establishing security and peace, wishing him success. Dr. Nabil El-Araby expressed his pleasure in visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain and meeting the Minister of Foreign Affairs, praising the distinguished brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt and their peoples. He also commended the significant role played by the Kingdom of Bahrain in enhancing security and stability in the region, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
