Foreign Minister receives GCC Interconnection Authority CEO

Manama, Mar. 5 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, received in his office today at the Ministry’s General Court, Chief Executive of the GCC Interconnection Authority, Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al Ebrahim. During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed Eng. Al-Ibrahim, praising the great efforts made by the GCC Interconnection Authority in providing electrical energy to the GCC member states and enhancing their sustainable development plan 2030 He noted the efforts made by the authority to develop its activities and expand its scope of work in neighboring countries, wishing the Chief Executive good luck and success. For his part, Eng. Al-Ebrahim expressed his sincere congratulations to the minister on the royal trust assigning him the portfolio of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, praising the important role played by the Kingdom of Bahrain in developing GCC joint action in various fields and wishing the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity. The meeting was attended by Foreign Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for GCC and Arab Countries Affairs, Ambassador Youssef Mohamed Abdullah Jamil.
