Foreign Minister receives outgoing Russian ambassador

Manama, June 23 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, received today at the ministry’s headquarters the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Igor Karimov, on the occasion of the end of his tenure in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting was hled in the presence of the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Rami Saleh Al-Adwan, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular and Administrative Affairs, Khalil Yaqoub Al-Khayat, and a number of ministry officials. The Minister of Foreign Affairs praised the distinguished diplomatic efforts made by the Russian ambassador in supporting bilateral cooperation and moving them towards wider horizons in order to achieve the common interests of both countries and peoples. He wished him continued success. For his part, the Russian ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and all officials in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the support and assistance he received, which contributed to facilitating his diplomatic work, wishing the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
