Foreign Minister receives Pakistani ambassador

Manama, Jan. 12 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, received in his office at the ministry’s General Court today, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Afzaal Mahmood, on the occasion of the end of his tenure in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting was also attended by Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and Undersecretary, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Daij Al Khalifa. The Minister of Foreign Affairs commended the outstanding efforts exerted by the Pakistani ambassador throughout his tenure, which contributed to consolidating the existing relations of friendship and cooperation between the two friendly countries. He also noted, in this regard, keenness of the two friendly countries on bolstering joint bilateral cooperation to meet their common aspirations and goals, wishing the ambassador continued success in his diplomatic duties. For his part, the Pakistani Ambassador expressed utmost appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and to all officials in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the constant support he received, which contributed to facilitating his diplomatic work in the Kingdom, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
