Foreign Minister receives Philippine ambassador

Manama, Aug. 4 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, today received the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE. Alfonso A. Ver, on the occasion of the end of his term as ambassador of his country to the Kingdom. The meeting was held in the presence of the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE. Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Mudailawi. During the meeting, the Foreign Minister expressed his pride and appreciation for the friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of the Philippines, which are based on respect and mutual appreciation. He lauded the efforts of the Ambassador during his tenure, which contributed to further developing bilateral relations and cooperation for the benefit of the two friendly countries and people. For his part, the ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and all officials in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the support and cooperation he received during his service, which had a great impact on the success of his work. He wished the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity. The minister presented a commemorative gift to Ambassador Alfonso A. Ver, wishing him further success. The meeting was also attended by the Ministry’s Chief of Afro-Asian Affairs, HE. Ambassador Fatima Abdulla Al-Dhaen.
