Foreign Minister receives phone call from OIC Secretary-General

Manama, July 8 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, received a phone call from the Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen. The Foreign Minister stressed the important role played by OIC in promoting the Islamic work and furthering the levels of cooperation and joint coordination among member states, hailing the efforts of the Secretary-General in developing the performance of the Organisation and its organs, and wishing OIC further success. Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen lauded the great efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Bahrain in combating the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and maintaining the safety of citizens and residents, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further development. A number of topics and issues of common concern were also discussed during the call.
