Foreign Minister receives phone call from Russian Federation Counterpart

Manama, Jan. 30 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, today received a phone call from the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov. They reviewed the course of the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation, and exchanged views on the most important issues on regional and international arenas. Lavrov emphasised the depth of the existing friendly relations between the two countries and the progress of coordination between them at all levels. Shaikh Khalid expressed his satisfaction with the great and lasting development witnessed by cooperation between the two friendly countries, which have a common desire to strengthen their friendship in a way that supports common interests, noting the vital role played by the Russian Federation in preserving Regional and international security and stability.
