Foreign Minister receives phone call from Thai counterpart

Manama, Dec. 22 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, today received a phone call from his Thai counterpart, Don Pramudwinai. The Thai Foreign Affairs Minister expressed his utmost condolences over the demise of the late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. He praised the existing friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries. He also affirmed his country's keenness to convene the Bahraini-Thai Joint Committee to expand the areas of bilateral cooperation and coordination in a way that meets the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples. Dr. Al-Zayani expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the Thai Minister for his condolences, noting the advanced relations between the two countries and their steady development. He also stressed Bahrain’s keenness and constant interest in promoting bilateral relations in order to fulfill the aspirations of the two friendly countries, wishing the Kingdom of Thailand continued progress and prosperity. During the call, means to advance bilateral cooperation, in addition to important regional and issues of common interest were discussed.
