Foreign Minister receives UN-ESCWA Executive Secretary

Manama, Feb. 17 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, received in his office at the Ministry’s General Court today, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, Dr. Rola Dashti, and her accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. The Minister welcomed Dr. Rola Dashti and her accompanying delegation, hailing the distinguished and important role of UN-ESCWA in facing various challenges across the world. He also affirmed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to continue all means of cooperation and coordination with the United Nations and all its committees, as well as support its efforts to achieve sustainable development, wishing Dr. Rola Dashti success. Dr. Rola Dashti congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the precious royal trust bestowed upon him through his appointment to his post. She also expressed her appreciation for the efforts and achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of sustainable development, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
