Foreign Minister receives UN Resident Coordinator’s credentials

Manama, July 9 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received in the Ministry’s General Court today, Mr. Amin El Sharkawi, and received his credentials as Resident Coordinator of the UN System’s Operational Activities for Development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed Mr. El Sharkawi and affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the United Nations and its agencies, noting the remarkable level of programmes and projects organised by the United Nations to support efforts to achieve SDGs 2030, wishing him success. Mr. El Sharkawi commended the Kingdom of Bahrain’s policy in cooperating with the United Nations at all levels, and affirmed his keenness to further bolster this cooperation, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
