Foreign Minister receives US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs

Manama, June 27 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, received today the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the Department of State of the United States of America, Yael Lempert, on the occasion of her visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the first meeting of the Steering Committee of the Negev Forum. They reviewed strong historic and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the USA and discussed ways to enhance them in various fields in order to achieve the common interests of both sides. The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Chief of Americas Affairs, Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, and the Ambassador of the USA to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Stephen Bundy.
