Foreign Ministry’s contributions to implementing Government Action Plan discussed

Manama, Nov. 2 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, held a meeting today with the Special Committee to Follow-up on the Contributions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Implementation of the Government Action Plan 2019/2020, led by the Undersecretary for Regional and GCC Affairs, Ambassador Waheed Mubarak Sayyar. Ambassador Sayyar gave a presentation about the efforts made by the committee to implement the tasks entrusted to it with regard to following up on the Ministry's contributions to implementing the Government Action Plan, with the aim of achieving economic growth, financial stability and sustainable development. On this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs launched an electronic system prepared by the committee in cooperation with the Ministry's Information Systems Directorate to organise the process of approving programmes, projects and initiatives, and following up on their implementation internally at the Ministry. The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Chairman and members of the Committee for their relentless efforts. He also praised the contributions of diplomatic missions abroad in this regard.
