Foreign Ministry holds farewell ceremony for UK Ambassador to Bahrain

Manama, July 15 (BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held at the Ministry’s General Court today a farewell ceremony for outgoing Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain Simon Martin. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa praised the ambassador's efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries at all levels. She also noted the distinguished relations of friendship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly United Kingdom. For his part, Mr. Simon Martin expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the officials at the ministry for their support to him during his tenure, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity. Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa presented the ambassador with a commemorative gift and wished him success. The event was attended by a number of ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (MOFA)
