Foreign Ministry launches awareness campaign "Travel Safe" for travel guidelines

Manama, June 14 (BNA): In line with the objectives of the national plan to strengthen national belonging and consolidate patriotism values, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched the awareness campaign (Travel Safe), coinciding with the beginning of summer. The campaign includes travel guidelines to ensure safety of citizens while travelling abroad. The campaign comes under the framework of the national plan "Our Bahrain" to preserve national identity and values to meet national aspirations of a secure and stable life. The travel guidelines range from travel planning to being in the country to be visited, ways to preserve the security, safety and properties of citizens during their travel in a way that contributes to spreading the required awareness and decreasing the risks citizen may face, in addition to strengthening the role of the diplomatic missions of the Kingdom of Bahrain abroad, communicating with citizens and locating the closest missions to them. The campaign also clarifies ways to communicate with the concerned authorities in case of any inquiries or issues, in addition to facilitating communication with travellers and coordinating their return in case of disasters. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommended downloading "Wejhaty" app as it offers many services for travellers and can be downloaded online (App Store/Play Store) or through www.bahrain.bh/apps . The campaign continues all summer from June till August this year, and is featured on various social media channels of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Twitter, Instagram, Youtube) @bahdiplomatic or through travel guidelines barcode, in addition to social networking, television, Bahrain News Agency, Bahrain International Airport and other platforms, in order to communicate with the largest number of citizens.
