Foreign Ministry participates in CICA meeting

Manama, Dec. 9 (BNA): The Director of Afro-Asian Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mona Abbas Mahmoud Radhi, participated in the meeting of the Special Working Group of Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), which was held online today under the Chairmanship of the Director of the Asia Pacific Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, to prepare for the meeting of the Senior Officials Committee of CICA, to be held at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers of the CICA member states on December 11, 2020. Ambassador Radhi congratulated the Republic of Kazakhstan for assuming the presidency of CICA, expressing the Kingdom of Bahrain's appreciation of the efforts made by CICA. It is worth noting that the Special Working Group for the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) is an intergovernmental forum consisting of 27 member states, 8 observer countries, and 5 observer organizations. It aims to enhance cooperation for peace, security and stability in Asia.
