Foreign Ministry Undersecretary discusses cooperation with Israeli Foreign Minister

Tel Aviv, Aug. 8 (BNA): Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met in Tel Aviv today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, H.E. Yair Lapid, H.E. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah congratulated His Excellency Mr. Lapid on assuming the position of Prime Minister, wishing him success in his future duties. He praised growing relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel at all levels, stressing the importance of continuing to support the efforts aimed at bringing peace and prosperity to the region. For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel expressed his country's keenness to strengthen ties with the Kingdom of Bahrain in various fields for the benefit of the two friendly countries and peoples, wishing the Kingdom further progress. Both sides discussed ways of developing bilateral cooperation in addition to other issues of common interest.
