Foreign Ministry Undersecretary meets CICA Executive Director

Manama, Jun 20 (BNA): Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met with a high-level delegation from the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), headed by the Executive Director of the Conference Secretariat Ambassador Kairat Sarybay. He affirmed Bahrain’s keenness Bahrain to enhance cooperation with CICA member states in support of security, peace, tolerance and sustainable development in the Asian continent and the world at large. He lauded the efforts of the Republic of Kazakhstan in supporting CICA over the past three decades, hailing its role as the current president in developing related mechanisms and activities. For his part, Ambassador Sarybay praised the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in consolidating partnership among Asian countries in various fields, noting its pioneering humanitarian initiatives in promoting dialogue among civilizations, cultures and religions.
