Foreign Ministry Undersecretary meets UN official

Manama, Dec.27 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met online today with the Head of Mission of the International Organization for Migration and Acting Resident Coordinator of United Nations activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mohammed Al-Zarqani. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah praised the close partnership and constructive cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Nations Organization in various fields, stressing that the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has placed the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals at the forefront of its national priorities. The two sides expressed their aspiration to sign the updated document of the Strategic Cooperation Framework and Sustainable Development between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Nations agencies, as a platform for joint action aimed at supporting and developing institutional capabilities and coordinating development projects.
