Foreign Ministry Undersecretary receives Bangladeshi ambassador

Manama, Dec. 23 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, today received in her office at the ministry’s General Court the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam. During the meeting, Dr. Shaikha Rana welcomed Dr. Nazrul Islam, lauding strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly People's Republic of Bangladesh at all levels. She stressed keenness of the kingdom to further develop these relations through cooperation and joint coordination in order to serve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples. She wished the People's Republic of Bangladesh constant progress and prosperity. For his part, the ambassador praised strong bilateral relations, expressing appreciation of the care provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain for the Bangladeshi community. He also commended the kingdom's efforts in fighting COVID-19 and protecting people's health and safety, wishing the kingdom further development. Both sides also discussed ways of promoting and developing joint bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries, in addition to a number of topics of common concern.
