Foreign Ministry Undersecretary receives European Parliament delegation

Manama, Nov. 2 (BNA): Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, HE. Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received at the ministry today, the delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula (DARP) at the European Parliament, as part of their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. During the meeting, the Undersecretary for Political Affairs welcomed the European Parliamentary delegation, praising strong relations of friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Parliament and reviewing means to enhance them to serve common interests. He affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s tremendous efforts to consolidate peace and stability in the Middle East, pointing out the Kingdom's commitment to protecting human rights and respecting freedom and the rule of law. For their part, the European Parliamentary delegation expressed keenness on enhancing coordination and cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting the distinguished measures taken by the Kingdom at all levels to ensure security and stability in the region and the world.
