Foreign Ministry Undersecretary receives IISS-Middle East Executive Director

Manama, May 23 (BNA): Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular and Administrative Affairs, Ambassador Tawfiq Ahmed Al-Mansour, received in his office at the ministry today, the Executive Director of the International Institute for Strategic Studies in the Middle East (IISS-Middle East), Sir Tom Beckett, in the presence of Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Talal Abdul Salam Al-Ansari. The Undersecretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs praised the prominent role played by the IISS in organising conferences and forums, in addition to publishing political studies and research. He affirmed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation and coordination between the ministry and the institute to achieve common interests. For his part, Sir Tom Beckett praised effective cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the IISS, stressing the need to further develop it to achieve common goals. He also wished the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
