Foreign Ministry Undersecretary receives Korean Ambassador Designate

Manama, Sept. 22 (BNA): Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, received today in her office at the Ministry’s General Court, the Ambassador Designate of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Hae Kwan Chung. During the meeting, the Undersecretary welcomed the ambassador, lauding bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation and their development in all areas. She also reviewed ways to promote these relations to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries, wishing the ambassador further success. For his part, Ambassador Hae Kwan Chung congratulated the Kingdom of Bahrain on signing the Declaration of Peace with the State of Israel, hailing the efforts exerted by the Kingdom to preserve peace and security in the region. He also stressed keenness of the Republic of Korea to promote cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain, wishing the Kingdom further development and prosperity. The two sides also discussed a number of topics of common concern.
