Foreign Ministry's Chief of Afro-Asian Affairs meets African Union Commission delegation

Manama, Nov. 2 (BNA): The Chief of Afro-Asian Affairs, Ambassador Fatima Abdulla Al-Dhaen, met here today a delegation of the African Union Commission, headed by the Acting Director for Partnerships Management and Resource Mobilisation, in the Cabinet of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Jacques Mukwende, who is on an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. During the meeting, the two sides discussed a draft memorandum of understanding with the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen political, economic and trade relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the African Union Commission within the framework of cooperation with African countries. It is worth noting that the Kingdom of Bahrain is granted the status of an observer to the African Union, due to the important role the Union plays on both the international and African arenas.
