Foreign Office briefing

Astana, October 26, 2009 (Khabar) - The president of the country will pay a working visit to the United Arab Emirates at the invitation of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. This has been reported by the press-secretary of the Foreign Office Ilias Omarov at a briefing. The visit will start on the 1st of November and it features talks on issues of cooperation in the political as well as trade and economic areas alongside the signing of a number of agreements. On the 27th of October an international conference on the chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the OSCE will be held in Astana under the authority of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and with the cooperation of the Washington Centre for Strategic and international Studies.

- The format of this conference will enable its participants to receive expert evaluation concerning a wide range of issues related to the presidency of Kazakhstan in the OSCE and will make it possible to discuss the agenda of the forthcoming chairmanship in this organization.
