French MP praises Bahrain's achievements, democratic experience

Manama, Mar. 22 (BNA): Bahrain's landmark achievements and democratic process under the Reform Project spearheaded by His Majesty king Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa have been lauded by a French parliamentary delegation.
"Bahrainis have every right to be proud of the Kingdom of Bahrain's achievements, and of the success of its distinguished democratic experience," Secretary-General of the French-Bahraini Friendship Group at the French National Assembly, MP Jean-Luc Reitzer said.
This came as the Council of Representatives, led by First Deputy Speaker Ali Al-Aradi, held a meeting with the members of the French-Bahraini Friendship Group delegation, led by MP Jean-Luc Reitzer.
MP Jean-Luc lauded the key role played by the Council of Representatives to consolidate the parliamentary and legislative work in Bahrain.
He also hailed the progress boom witnessed by Bahrain under the royal reform project.
He stressed that the French-Bahraini Friendship Group seeks to develop the solid Bahraini-French relations and, and support efforts to ensure the security and stability of Bahrain, noting that Bahrain is an ally and a strategic partner to his country.
First Deputy Speaker expressed pride in the distinguished Bahraini-French relations, highlighting the need to develop joint parliamentary action, increasing exchanged visits and activating the role of friendship committees.
He underlined the Representatives Council's keenness to strengthen the role of parliamentary diplomacy in coordinating stances and common visions towards various regional and global developments.
The visit of the French parliamentary delegation to the Council of Representatives is in line with the directives of Speaker, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, to consolidate parliamentary diplomacy through enhancing communication with other parliaments to highlight Bahrain's landmark achievements under the royal reform project, and shed light on the kingdom's legislative experience.
