Frontier cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation

Petropavlovsk, October 29, 2009 (Khabar) - Deputies of North Kazakhstan region’s maslihat and their Russian colleagues from a regional thought of Tyumen have concluded the memorandum of cooperation. The meeting has passed in Petropavlovsk. Visitors have visited the enterprises of a city and have communicated to local population.
Relations between the North Kazakhstan and Tyumen areas have an old history. However deputies of two areas meet for the first time.

Kairly Yedrisov, secretary of maslihat, North Kazakhstan:
- Life goes forward and that is why we should always have relations, friendship with each other, communicate advice. We also have good laws, and something is borrowed by them from us.

The operational experience of the Tyumen deputies is recognized the best among 80 regions of Russia. At the same time, according to the Russian members of parliament, they have what to learn from the Kazakhstani colleagues. It is a question of local government.

Sergey Korepanov, chairman of Tymen regional duma:
- I want to say that your local government has a serious dynamic. We have not finished this reform yet. We have tried different variants and now we should look how it is done here.

Deputies from Russia have visited the machine-building enterprise of Petropavlovsk. Today production which is let out in Kazakhstan for the oil and gas industry is in great demand in the Tyumen region which bowels are rich with hydrocarbon raw materials. About 40 enterprises of the Tyumen region are interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan. After signing of the memorandum of the further development of bilateral cooperation deputies have familiarized with agrarian complexes of the North Kazakhstan area and have met students of local high schools.
