GCC–German relations hailed

Manama, Nov.2(BNA): Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DERASAT) Board of Trustees’ Chairman Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa stressed the importance of investing in GCC – German developed relations to bolster regional stability, confront challenges and dangers.
He stressed the need to development economic and investment partnership in parallel with common efforts to combat terrorism and stave off the Iranian interference in the internal affairs of countries in the region.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa made the statement as he addressed the second GCC-German Dialogue which was held remotely via video conference.
Held under the theme “Strategic Dialogue and Regional Security), the virtual forum, which was held by the Arab – German Friendship Society, brought together officials, experts and policy makers.
He said that the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa seeks to build peace, as strategic option to support development, prosperity and settle crises through dialogue and multiparty action.
He expressed the hope that the forum would reach constructive recommendations that strengthen GCC relations with Germany, support security, stability and peace in the Middle East as the world continues to grapple with the fallout of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
