GCC countries' economic, political, security importance stressed

Manama, Dec. 6 (BNA): The Jordan Press Association (JPA) Deputy President Awni Dawood stressed that the GCC member states have the potential to become an influential global economic power thanks to their big oil resources. He also underlined the influential political and security role of the GCC countries, pointing out in a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that the GCC joint work has always aimed at unifying efforts since the inception of the council in 1981. Mr. Dawood underlined common denominators between the GCC countries including the language, customs and traditions, geography and culture. He also pointed out that GCC joint work and the economic issue will top the 37th GCC Summit, in Manama.
