German fm appreciates Turkey's stance about Syria

BERLIN (A.A) - German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle appreciated Turkey's clear stance in political and humanitarian aspects regarding Syria issue. Westerwelle told reporters on Thursday that Turkey acted with responsibility in Syria issue, adding that Turkey exerted great efforts to hold talks with Syria. Turkey is displaying a kindness as well as a rationalistic policy even by accepting to give shelter to Syrian citizens escaped from their country, said Westerwelle, adding that Turkey was giving an important signal to Syria. Turkey, as a big and important neighbor of Syria, is a bridge between European and Arab countries and acting with responsibility, he said. Westerwelle added that Germany had very tight relations with Turkey in many issues.
