Government organizes religious ceremonies for HM the King’s birthday
BANGKOK, July 26 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha presided over ceremonies of five religions for the 66th birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn on July 28.
The ceremonies were organized at Outer Santi Maitree building in the compound of the Government House.
Also present there were cabinet ministers and spouses, presidents of the National Legislative Assembly, the Supreme Court, the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Administrative Court, armed forces’ chiefs and representatives of independent organizations.
The prime minister paid respect to a portrait of His Majesty the King and praised the king’s great contributions to the nation and the public’s well-being.
Gen Prayut cited His Majesty the King’s project for general people to volunteer in social contribution projects, saying the initiative promoted social responsibility and national unity. Besides, the prime minister praised His Majesty the King for giving assistance to disaster-affected people.
The religious ceremonies at the Government House were conducted by senior Buddhist, Islamic, Christian, Hindu and Sikh figures in the country.
Meanwhile, offices of government organizations and state enterprises organized events for their personnel to vow to be good and work for the national interest. They also conducted social contribution activities including cleaning. (TNA)
