Government resolved to uproot terrorism'

Manama, Jan. 31 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that attempts to subvert security will not weaken the government’s resolve to uproot terrorism and strong determination to eradicate it.
Ensuring security and stability is the government’s duty towards the Bahraini people, and therefore it will never hesitate to honour its commitment towards this nation and its citizens, HRH Premier said.
For us, security is sacred and cannot be compromised, and whoever found linked to any attempt to undermine stability, whether directly or indirectly, will be subject to law and justice, he emphasised.
The Prime Minister made the statements while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, deputy premiers and a number of senior state officials.
HRH the Prime Minister stressed the need to clamp down on terrorists, and to leave no loophole through which they can convey their destructive ideology aimed at undermining social security and fueling sedition and discord.
He pointed out that social media networks should be platforms to serve national unity and development, not means to post messages that target the kingdom’s social fabric and promote extremist ideologies, requesting the relevant authorities to follow up on the issue strictly.
When it comes to the security of the nation and its citizens, everything should be given utmost importance, and no part of it should not be overlooked because of the politicised voices that seek to twist facts, and apply double standards through describing what is happening in some countries as terrorism, and claiming neutrality and credibility when the same things happen in other countries.
HRH the Premier affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain extends hands of cooperation to various countries that share with it the keenness to build relations based on mutual respect, and expects some countries that provide a cover for terrorism in Bahrain to review and re-consider their stances and policies.
