Government's renewable energy policies praised

Manama, (BNA): The Shura Council’s Bureau convened here today, under the chairmanship of the Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh. The council’s bureau praised the governments’ efforts and plans to boost the renewable energy sector, as part of the kingdom’s endeavours to achieve sustainable development. The bureau made the comments while reviewing a missive addressed to by the Parliament Affairs Minister regarding the letter of the Electricity and Water Affairs Minister on an audio-visual presentation by the Electricity and Water Affairs Ministry about renewable energy in Bahrain. The Shura Council’s Bureau also reviewed another missive from the Parliament Affairs Minister regarding a letter from the Foreign Affairs Ministry on the resolutions and statements issued by the third session of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, held in Cairo on September 11. The bureau also approved the agenda of the next meeting of eth Shura Council.
