Guests make green gesture at Intl. Radio Festival of Iran

TEHRAN,May 19(MNA) -- Foreign broadcasters attending the International Radio Festival of Iran planted a number of trees in a symbolic gesture on Thursday in the Iranian city of Zibakenar, Gilan Province, which hosted the festival late this week. The 12th International Radio Festival and 4th International Radio Forum were held at the IRIB Culture and Recreation Complex in the northern Iranian city. The guests planted their own favorite trees in the courtyard of the complex. Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Deputy Director Mohammad-Hossein Sufi accompanied the guests during planting the trees. Broadcasters and programmers from 20 countries attended the event, which was held from May 15 to 17. The festival provides participants an opportunity to express their creativity and imagination and interact with others from the radio world.
