Habash Praises HH the Emir's Proposal on Jerusalem

Doha, February 26 (QNA) - Palestinian Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Mahmoud Habash considered the proposal, of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, today, to address the UN Security Council for adopting a resolution on forming an international commission for invistigating all actions taken by Israel since the 1967 occupation of Arab Jerusalem, in order to obliterate its Islamic and Arabic landmarks, considered the motion as "" an important step by Arab and Islamic in support of the steadfastness of Jerusalem people and detection of crimes committed by Israeli occupation forces against the Holy City". Dr. Habash said in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the sidelines of the International Conference for the Defense of Jerusalem here today, that approaching the Security Council is something vital and necessary to put the issue of Jerusalem once again on the table of the international community in order to pressure Israel to revive the issue of Jerusalem as a central cause of the nation. He added that besides the important proposal, a set of measures and the steps should be taken in terms of including the issue of Jerusalem in the educational course of the nation. He extended thanks to the State of Qatar and HH the Emir for organizing this important conference, which represents the starting point, expressing his hope that the outcome of this conference might bring a Jerusalem people spring to highlight the contribution of all the Arab nation to raise the standard of life in Jerusalem , maintain the civilized face of the holy city.
