Health Minister meets Egyptian counterpart

Manama, Oct. 13 (BNA): Health Minister Dr. Jalila bint Sayed Jawad Hassan met with Egyptian Health Minister Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar on the sidelines of the Kingdom’s participation in the he 69th session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean. The meeting reviewed topics of common interest in human genome, cooperation, the exchange of experiences and benefiting from the visiting doctor program. The two sides discussed developments in training, drug security, research and studies, in addition to the health insurance project. Dr. Jalila affirmed the deep-rooted bilateral relations and the importance of cooperation in various fields. She praised the effective partnerships that exist between all countries of the region through the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean to develop the health systems. The Egyptian minister praised the bilateral relations and the efforts taken by the Kingdom on regional and global levels.
