Health Minister receives FDPM Fellowship 4th batch

Manama, Feb. 18 (BNA): Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh has received the fourth batch of the First Deputy Prime Minister Fellowship programme for the development of national cadres. The Health Minister attached great importance to the ambitious programme of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, supportive to the empowerment of the youth to raise quality and efficiency of government performance in conformity with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. The minister, during the meeting, gave an overview of the national health system and services offered. She noted the features of the next stage, during which a total transformation to the new Health Insurance and the improvement of health services to conform with the international progress and to actively meet public needs. Al Saleh talked about a number of challenges faced by health systems at the local and global level alike. She pointed out the Bahraini youths’ determination to bring changes in various fields, including health sector, through hard work and contribution to development process. She praised the fourth batch’s enthusiasm to benefit from the outcomes of the FDPM Fellowship programme that reflects HRH the Crown Prince’s keenness to support national aptitudes and invest in them, as they are a key factor for the development march during the prosperous era of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
