Health Minister receives Indian ambassador

Manama, Aug. 28 (BNA): Minister of Health, Dr. Jalila bint Sayed Jawad Hassan, received Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Piyush Srivastava, in the presence of Health Ministry Undersecretary, Dr. Walid Al Mena. The minister welcomed the Indian ambassador, lauding distinguished relations of friendship between both countries. Both sides reviewed a number of issues of common concern and ways of availing of the medical and pharmaceutical experiences as well as therapeutic tourism. For his part, the Indian ambassador affirmed strong relations between the two friendly countries, commending the tremendous efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the health sector. He also expressed thanks for the care accorded to the Indian community in Bahrain through initiatives that reflect the government’s interest in the advancement of the health sector and protection of the community.
