Health Minister receives Saudi delegation

Manama, Aug. 16 (BNA): Health Minister Faeqa Saeed Al Saleh has received the Saudi Development Fund (SDF)'s delegation during their follow-up visit to the long-stay centre in Muharraq and kidney dialysis centre in Riffa, both projects being funded by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s grant as part of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) programme in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The minister praised the Saudi Development Fund's efforts in supporting Bahrain and the ministry’s vital projects which will provide high quality medical treatment services. The minister briefed the delegation about the Health Insurance Scheme which the ministry will apply in the upcoming period as well as the quality health and medical services provided in the governmental health centres (HCs) in addition to the ministry’s current plan aimed to construct specialized health centres. The minister lauded the two countries' ongoing cooperation, including the exchange of expertise to develop the health services.
