Health Undersecretary participates in World Health Summit

Berlin, Oct. 19 (BNA): Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Waleed Al Manea participated in the World Health Summit.
The summit was held from October 16-18 and is considered one of the most important international health congregations concerned, in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO).
The summit focused on commitment to global public interests, health justice, strong health multilateral action, and exchanging scientific development and innovation.
Dr. Al Manea highlighted the coverage of the summit on global risks and threats such as climate change, epidemics, natural disasters, disaster response, and food, and health systems.
He explained that the summit focused on health digital transformation, the new approach to investing in health and well-being, and the challenges facing Universal health coverage, ensuring a smarter surveillance system, global health for peace, and building strong and resilient health systems.
The undersecretary affirmed the continuation of the Kingdom's initiatives and efforts in the fields of health care, and its achievements at the international, regional, and global levels.
He praised the efforts of Bahrain’s health sector in providing the best health services to citizens and residents, seeking to develop medical services through cooperating with various international health authorities and providing the latest, equipment and medical devices in pace with the latest scientific developments in the field.
