HEC Secretary General, Advance HE discuss cooperation

Manama, Nov. 29 (BNA): Higher Education Council (HEC) Secretary-General and Vice-Chairperson of its Board of Trustees Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa met Director of International Partnerships at British Higher Education Academy (Advance HE) Christian Rampell. The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation and develop the capabilities of educational faculty members in local universities to boost the standards. The secretary general said that more than 650 members of the academic staff in the Kingdom have obtained the fellowship from Advance HE, and noted that with this number of fellowships Bahrain was fifth in the world in the number of fellowships from the British Academy. The HEC Secretary-General expressed her appreciation of the level of mutual cooperation that has resulted in increasing the number of academic staff in higher education institutions.
