HH the Amir of Qatar Chairs First Meeting of Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment

Doha, March 08 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, chaired on Tuesday morning the Council's first meeting in 2022 at the Amiri Diwan. HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Deputy Chairman of the Council, attended the meeting along with HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, Executive Member of the Council, and Their Excellencies members of the Council. The Council reviewed the decisions and recommendations made in the fourth meeting of 2021 and the project follow-up report. The Council also discussed the country's economic priorities and took appropriate decisions in their regard. Also, the Council was briefed on the presentation on financial technology (FinTech) and the banking sector, the strategy of the industrial sector in the country, and the latest developments of the Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) and the Investment Promotion Agency of Qatar (IPA Qatar). The Council discussed the topics listed on its agenda and took the appropriate decisions in their regard. (QNA)
