HH Deputy Premier receives Head of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council

Manama, June 9 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Head of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, and his accompanying delegation. Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, were present. HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak welcomed Dr. Al-Alimi and his accompanying delegation, expressing appreciation for the Presidential Leadership Council and its efforts to establish security and peace in brotherly Yemen. The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed Bahrain’s support for such efforts, and hope that the extension of the truce in Yemen for two additional months, as a result of the initiative of sisterly Saudi Arabia and the efforts of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy to Yemen, would end the Yemeni crisis and lead to a lasting and comprehensive political solution that would achieve security, stability and peace in Yemen, and meet the aspirations of its brotherly people for development and prosperity. HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak welcomed the outcomes of today’s meetings between the Bahraini and Yemeni ministers, noting that they will contribute to consolidating bilateral relations and bolstering joint cooperation. Head of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, expressed thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his support for Yemen and its people, praising Bahrain’s supportive stances towards Yemen and its efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in Yemen and the region. He also expressed thanks to HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak for receiving him and his accompanying delegation. The two sides also discussed regional and international issues of common interest.
