HH Deputy Prime Minister receives Thai Ambassador

Manama, Nov.25(BNA): Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received the Ambassador of Thailand to Bahrain Thanis Na Songkhla who conveyed the condolences of the Thai King, government and people on the passing of His Royal highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. The ambassador stressed that Thailand in particular and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries in general recall with appreciation and gratitude the role of the late HRH Prince Khalifa in establishing their strategic partnership with Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Thailand will also recall with great admiration HRH Prince Khalifa's development and humane initiatives that contributed crucially to the development of Bahrain and achieved an international resonance. The meeting, attended by Advisor to HRH the Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and the grandsons of the late Prince, reviewed relations and cooperation between the two countries as well as the contributions of HRH Prince Khalifa to strengthening them. HH the deputy Prime Minister expressed thanks and appreciation to the Thai King, government and people for their noble sentiments towards the deceased, saying they reflected the special bonds between the two countries. He wished Thailand further progress and prosperity.
