HH the Heir Apparent to Attend Education Excellence Day Celebration

Doha, February 28 (QNA) - HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who is also the Chairman of the Supreme Education Council (SEC), will honor the celebration of Education Excellence Day for the year 2010/2011 on March 4. During the ceremony, outstanding students in six categories will be honored. Categories are PhD holders, university graduates, distinguished school, distinguished teacher, distinguished scientific research. The best achieving school in educational comprehensive evaluation will be announced too. HE Saad Bin Ibrahim Al-Mahmoud, Minister of Education and Higher Education and SEC Secretary General, endorsed the names of the awards winners as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Education Excellence Award. HE said that the Education Excellence Day reaffirms the interest of the country and its wise leadership in human development and stresses on the values of science, knowledge and investment in the Qatari man. The minister also wished the winners more success and excellence in their academic and professional careers. (QNA)
